Gancheng Zhangjia Peak is located on the border of Nepalese and Indian flags. It is the third highest peak in the world. It is also the easternmost of 14 8000M peaks in the world.

From any point of view, Gancheng Zhangjia has a vast mountain body composed of four different peaks. They are the main peak of 8586 meters, 8505 meters (also known as Gancheng Zhangjiaxi Peak), and the south peak of 8491 meters (also known as Gancheng Zhangjia Second Peak) and the central peak of 8482 meters. The four peaks are composed of 8505M, on which there are various flags of climbers.

Because of its prominent shape and a little distance from the main peak, it has won the favor of several mountaineering teams and specializes in this peak. Some people believe that it should become the 15th 8,000-meter peak in the world independently, if it is the fifth peak in the world, it is also higher than Makaru.

However, the general mountaineering community does not accept this statement, or it is regarded as a side peak of Gancheng Zhangjia. Gancheng Zhangjia is regarded as the god mountain by Xijin people. The Tibetan flags on the mountain are waving in the wind, which is very spectacular. But its name usually comes from Tibetan, meaning five huge white snow treasures.

Because of its remote location and high difficulty, there are not many people climbing Gancheng Zhangjia. By the end of 1999, only 146 people climbed Gancheng Zhangjia Peak, which is the third-to-last place among 14 8,000 meters, and only one woman.
